We believe great wine is all about great stories. And with that, we might as well start with ours.
At the core of this story is our passion for wine.
Here at Label Wines, we put incredible thought and love into everything we do, which is why we decided to build a community where we ourselves would enjoy the experience of sourcing wine. Most importantly, we wanted to build an inclusive and joyful space where wine lovers from around the world could unite and be introduced to boutique-style wines previously reserved for well-off globetrotting connoisseurs visiting the actual vineyards.
No matter what wines you like, and wherever you may be, we aim to be your personal sommeliers. Add to that a cost-efficient approach and a strong desire for the easiest and best possible member experience from the first online buy to an empty bottle, and the scene is set for what has been an amazing adventure so far. We think it’s important to understand how all this came to be and why we do what we do.

A BIT ABOUT US
Combining travels, business, professional challenges and the good life.
We are a family-owned business founded by us, Line Cicilie and Andreas Løfsgård. Originally from Norway (yes, we have Viking blood) we are high school sweethearts who tied the knot in Scotland while working and living in London, before deciding to settle Downunder in 2005.
Line Cicilie loves a nice glass of bubbles, a buttery Chardonnay and a well-balanced Shiraz, while hubby Andreas leans more towards a full-bodied Cabernet, a vintage Tawny port or even a bone-dry Riesling. To be honest, neither of us are opposed to a freshly made Espresso Martini or an ice-cold beer either, so we’re not total wine nerds even if getting pretty close.
Our Australian love affair started already in 1998, when we first got to experience the Aussie way of life, welcoming attitude and their impressive wines and vineyards. So, when the opportunity then arose to return for what was planned to be a shorter-term visit, it quickly became clear that this could and probably should be our new home and that we needed to start planning for just that.
Through our academic studies and work experience within international finance, multinational corporations and start-up ventures, the world of business has long played an integral part of our lives. But arriving in Australia, we quickly realised that business doesn’t need to define our lives. Rather we should try and define our life dreams and use business as one of the tools to make them happen.

FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
to a simplistic and elegant way to enjoy our service.
Fine wine can be found at the centre of Australia’s lifestyle and makes a great addition to the beaches and barbeques, and with so many famous and diverse wine regions on our doorstep, the interest in this intriguing grape juice started to grow. By visiting friendly and inviting wine cellars in smaller family-owned vineyards producing incredible wines in beautiful surroundings, it became very clear that Australian wine is a lot more than the mass-produced export wines often found overseas. With this realisation a desire grew to share the experience of boutique Australian wine with the world, and we partnered up with some of Australia’s best and most interesting wineries and started building our own brand.
We also cooperate with related wineries of similar profile in other countries and have established quite unique distribution solutions across Europe for our entire portfolio – all centered around this online Wine Club and Wine Store you are now visiting.
Label Wines has grown from its humble beginnings, but we continue to use a simplistic and elegant approach to how we do business.
