Could this be the best Organic Semillon around? We certainly think so.
Floral aromas of apple blossom, with sweet green apples and hints of pineapple. Hand-harvested organic grapes provide the lemon/lime palate, highlighted with natural acidity. Subtle creamy flavours from 4 months on yeast lees after fermentation. Pale quartz-green colour, followed by a fragrant lemon/citrus bouquet leading into a palate that opens with imperious lemon/lemongrass flavours, but – improbably given this start – becomes even more intense and probing on the long finish and aftertaste.
The wine has now started to display the sought-after Semillion aging characteristics, but will also still cellar for another 5-10 years.
