Description
This wine really is an explosion of flavour, bright red berries and yummy fruit. The Shiraz grapes for this wine was sourced from two premium vineyards in the Frankland River region of Western Australia. Barrel aged for almost 2 years in individual batches, the rustic addition of 5% Tempranillo was done at bottling to lend a savoury, blue fruited mid-palate to the bright and spicy Shiraz flavours. The result is a rich, ripe and balanced wine full of delicious Shirazy goodness and old world like savoury charm. Awarded 91 pts by James Halliday describing it as “a very elegant wine that grows on you rapidly. Medium-bodied, supple and a pleasure to drink”. We can only agree. Drinks beautifully now, but will cellar for another 4-5 years. Serve with a marbled steak, a rich beef stew or try it next to some smoky grilled meats and vegetables.
