FOOD PAIRING
An elegant, crisp and dry Riesling from Clare Valley, arguably Australia’s best region for this variety.
Ortus Wines prides itself in making wines reflecting their story of adventure and passion. Built from a small land allotment in the heart of Barossa Valley over 150 years ago, Ortus Wines today creates exceptional small volume wines from several of the premium wine regions in South Australia, known to many as the heart of the Australian wine industry.
Clare Valley is certainly one such region and this Single Vineyard bottle surely delivers everything you’d expect from Australia’s home of Riesling – and more.
The wine has a brilliant pale straw colour showing floral and citrus aromas of jasmine and lime.
On the palate it offers a delicate minerality with juicy lemon ahead of a creamy and crisp mouth-filling finish.
A great drink now but will just become better with careful cellaring for 3-5 years.
Pair with oysters and seafood, or even spicy Thai food.
